Eden Tech Ventures is a venture hub based in the Philippines that was creating startups from within instead of funding external startups

Context / Challenge

I was initially working as a research officer at Eden Tech Ventures that worked on product experiments and getting data that would help validate feasibility of ideas.

To validate whether a crypto advertising platform would work, I had to figure out the scope of the painted door experiment, establish benchmark KPIs (i.e. around 100 unique sign ups) and design the product flow.

My Proposed Solution

As this was just an MVP, I limited the effort to just a one-pager landing page that would include CTA in terms of the number of users signing up to our crypto advertising platform.

The one pager included description about the benefits of joining the crypto marketplace (i.e. getting free coins, ability to withdraw free coins, doing the tasks set forth by crypto companies to earn free coins, etc.)

Together with the UI designer, we worked on A/B experiments in terms of selecting and showcasing different images and even different descriptions in facebook carousell.

To advertise our landing page, we partnered with a digital team that would handle both our facebook and Google ads, and launched the MVP.

Results

After running the experiment for 40 days, we were able to achieve more than a 100 sign-ups, and has since then resulted to a full scale platform as the idea has been successfully validated. (note: after 4 years of leaving the company, the platform is no longer available and most likely has been stopped for whatever reason.)
